2004 Nomad 13k miles

This is a 2004 Kawasaki Nomad with a newer motor with documentation along with a professional installation by Struther's.

Original motor had a spun main bearing, I bought bike locally and had a motor with 12292 miles out of Jacksonville Florida from DenNel Motors shipped here to Des Moines.

It was installed this last week at Struthers Brothers ( local dealership ). Struthers also gave the bike a once over as the chassis has 35k on it and flushed clutch line and brake reservoirs, greased final drive and swing arm, ect. It does have an appointment this coming week for a cap seal on the bevel gear that they thought was good. This has been paid for and you just need to take it down for the installation.

I essentially bought this bike as a project to sell once brought back from the dead. Have another one incoming for next project.

Everything runs smoothly, and shifts like new.

Motorcycle comes with Vance & Hines Pipes, and a radio with handlebar mounted speakers. IPod can plug into it for nonstop listening to your playlist.
Front and rear floorboards, Drivers backrest, bag rails, heel toe shifter, cruise control, highway bars with foot rests, pretty much everything you would want and need on a Nomad.

Motorcycle also has a brand new Avon Venom tire that has not been put on as front tire still riding good, and good amount of tread.

This is a very nice looking bike and priced right with a 13k motor, you'll be on the road for a long while with it, provided you care for it.
Additional photos can be seen on my photo album here.

Looking for $4500.

Just nuts that no one seems interested at all.

New Metzler tire on back also now. Had that done when Struthers put in the new cap seal for bezel gear.
I left the new front Avon Venom off as front tire still in great shape, but it will still go with bike if purchased.
I have put 400 or so on bike having a blast so official mileage on the new motor is now around 12.700k.
Bike will also come with a nice cover for storage or whatever. ( WOW ) !!

So yeah, great deal at $4700.
Christ!, low nada is 4600..
Sorry, tires aren't free.

Most of the guys on this forum already have Nomads or have upgraded to other bikes. They are not interested in buying another one.

So yeah nomad for Mean Streak no cash changing hands.

So this is a Nomad site , in the complete bike classifieds..
I really do not understand what the point is to your post, unless you mean I should just put a gun to my head and pull trigger?

Lack of sleep. Seriously.

Just annoying when someone comes in and states the obvious. No sh*t, its a Nomad site..
And to know that "They" do not want to buy another.. Wow. Please hook me up with Powerball numbers or let me borrow that crystal ball.

It just agitated me.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my crude statement as I am the only one who understands what the analogy mean.
( meaning that since he knows it all and that posting my bike in the classified section obviously means it will not sell, I had better just lay down and give up )

Mike

My point is you are trying to sell it to someone that already has one. You are limiting your ability to sell the bike.

The typical member here already has a Nomad, Vaquero, Voyager or another brand and is probably not looking for a 10 year old Nomad. I would advertise on the Delphi Vulcan Forum where you have a lot of members with 900's and Classics for whom a 2004 Nomad might be an upgrade.

I'm not saying that there's nobody here that would be interested, just that there are probably very few who would be. It's also nearing the end of the riding season for a lot of folks.

It also appears you only joined this forum to sell the bike, which doesn't really help your cause any.

Just offering a little insight into possible reasons why nobody has jumped at your bike for sale.

Oh yeah.. I am Odd. ( lets just get that straight right now )

Nothing up my sleeves!
As I said in the post, I bought this only to resurrect. I have 3 others. I hate seeing a good bike go to waste. Mission accomplished, bike fixed, now it has to go.
End of story.

Now, I have posted in another forum, not just classifieds, but yeah, your right I just came here to sell a bike. ( complete bikes specifically ), but God strike me and my entire family down.. and yes all of you also, if I am lying, that I joined Vulcanbagger just to sell a friggen bike.

I have a few offers of Meanstreaks. I will be making a decision in next week or so.

I do what I do, I am who I am, what I am, ( not Popeye ), Labeling folks is so screwed up in my book, and I would appreciate it if you don't do that to me.

I like blowing money on Vulcan's, and John Deere garden tractors, its what I friggen do, its what I love.

I see no reason why you add nothing to my post that helps, other then criticism and questioning my integrity. If you want to discuss my plans for world domination,(My for real fantasy Cause) lets just take to PM's.

Thanks
Mike

CrazyGene.. I understand what you meant, however, it was to me just clutter on my thread, and not at all helpful. I by all means have not limited anything as It has been posted elsewhere.

I had no clue I was going to make enemeys by posting an ad.. Was not my intention...

I do say what I feel, always have. Sorry If I have offended anyone.

I don't think you've made enemies here, I wasn't questioning your integrity either. I was just offering my thoughts on why it appears nobody has jumped on your deal.

At any rate - good luck with your sale.
