Squeaky rear brake
What would make rear brakes squeak besides pads? Just changed mine and cleaned caliper with brake cleaner, but still squeaks. Suggestions?

Pad surface might be glazed, that could cause squeaking.

The pad material will cause it as well.

My old brakes squeaked, so I replaced them. These make the same sound, so I don't know that its the pads. Could it be the rotor? Rake pedal?

If it's the brake pedal, it will squeak if you depress it whether the bike is moving or not, right? Does it squeak when the bike isn't moving?

What type of pad are you using? Also does it squeak under light breaking
and heavy braking.

My oem pads never squeeked, the EBC pads made a rubbing sound, the Sixity pads were pretty good, and the Chinese pads I'm using now have a small squeek to them.

That may be my issue. I'm using Sumo brakes. They were great on previous bike. No squeaking. No issues. It squeaks when I depress the pedal about 1/2 way (moving only) for just a second, then stops until I've almost stopped, then squeaks again.

It's the pads.
