Vance & Hines baffle extension

If anybody is thinking of doing a baffle extension on their V&H cruiser pipes I have just posted a pictorial on my photobucket page in the Nomad Modifications folder.
The extension was made using a piece of auto exhaust tube and four baffles welded in to them. The whole muffler was then re-packed using a Bristol Cores #14234 universal re-packing kit, one kit did both mufflers.

SPL readings for 2000rpm at 8' were, no baffles 98dBA, baffles with no packing 88dBA, baffles with packing 85dBA and 81dBA at idle.

The bike now has a deeper more mellow tone. I'm sure it also has more back pressure now but probably not as much as with the original goat bladder in place.
I still have to finish fine tuning my fuel processor but that will have to wait until after my surgery.
