New Vaquero owner

So I am the proud owner of a 2011 vaquero. Had it about a week now already put the V&H 2into1 pipe and an EJK on. I am looking for the best intake and I hear after looking around here that the Chucksters is the way to go. Also I would like to do the throttle mod I keep hearing about from RACNRAY. I sent a PM to him but figured I would post as well. I look forward to diving into this bike. So far ahe has been a blast. I just wish the throttle wouldnt lag.

I also saw chicksters has a set of risers. Will they work with the stock wires and cables? I am 6ft 4 and would like a tad more room.

Chucksters intake is awesome, had one on my Nomad and now my Vaquero and given you already have fuel and exhaust you would love it. Chucksters risers do work with stock wires and cables. There is also a member here, Dmeyers, that makes custom bars that retain stock cables. I'm 6'4" as well and love the ergos of his bars; here's a thread with details:

I have all the mods you are looking to do. Love my Vaquero. Rode about 220 miles today and she ran line a dream. Averaged about 42 mpg. Was higher when we were cruising at 55 -60 mph.

Cool, you're the only other guy in Montana that has ever responded on here that I know of.

I just put dshellys throttle mode on my 1600. Works great. I kinda forgot I did it (I did a lot of servicing at the same time) The first few time I rode this year I thought boy bike is running smooth at low speed and on acceleration on turns on to the gravel, no jumping/jerking. Then I remembered the mod. Took all of 15 minute max to do it. Great investment.

+1 on the dshelly throttle mod. Easy install and functions perfectly.
I also run an aux bluetooth adapter that plugs into the factory ipod harness called the cool stream duo...works awesome and pulls power from the harness; no need to charge or replace batteries.
