I put one of the first kits on my 03.
You cannot get a kit that is easier to install. His directions are so simple a Harley rider could do it. I have had mine on the bike for somewhere around 4+ years with no problems. The bulbs are easy to replace, I had one burn out. I upgraded to the 55 watt bulbs. Buy it and you will absolutely love it. MT

Put a set on my '04. Easy install and works with and without the windshield although you do have to leave one windshield bracket on. I've been happy with them.

Yep, nice quality products. I bought a different light bar kit only because I didn't know Chuckters carried one.
I SURE WISH HE CARRIED SOME NICE SADDLEBAG RAILS!

Yes you can changed out the standard bulbs to led, there’s quite a few options
Look at H3 led style bulbs

LED conversion simple?
Quote:
My comfort level or knowledge with tinkering around on mechanical and electrical parts is pretty low, so I hope you are saying that swapping to LED bulbs on your light bar setup is pretty simple. In other words, if I go for the Cree H3/H1 25 watt, high power 2000LM LED bulb for example, I won't be needing to McGuiver stuff, won't need extra parts, won't need an adapter etc. (my budget is pretty tight) If you can tell me its fairly straight forward, I will be smiling and that much closer to ordering your highly regarded light bar kit. Thx for your patience and understanding. |

Yes thanks for asking
Those will be a simple install Remove the screw on the lower ring outside of the light housing that will allow you to take the ring off and remove the bulb assembly from the housing Once you have a bulb housing out unplug it and then you’ll see one screw holding the bulb inplace

if you go for the H3/H1 bulb, be aware that you can't plug a H1 bulb into a H3 fitting

I say that because to my uneducated knowledge of bulbs I don't think a H3/H1 bulb exists, I think either you have a housing that takes a H1 bulb or a H3 bulb
