Spare key

Hello All,
I'd like a spare key for my '03 Nomad. I bought it used and the dealer only gave me one key. Needless to say, that makes me extra vigilant about where it is all the time. Anyone have any luck with those key blanks on ebay? Any idea of where, not the dealership, I may be able to get a second key made?
Thanks...

Spare key

I bought an ebay one. It didn't match the original, but the locksmith cut it no problem and it works fine.

I had the same problem- only 1 key !! Went to a local locksmith that cut me 3 for $10. I'd look for someone like that!

The blank is #KW14 made by Silca. Should be able to find it at any locksmith for 3 to 4.00

Spare key

I called a Kawasaki dealer. He didnt have the blanks and sent me to a locksmith who cut me 2 keys for 3 bucks each. Check your local locksmiths. My key blank is a SILCA KW14. It is made in Italy.

Then, take a spare key and tape it inside the headlight bucket or under the right side cover. Then if you lose your key on the road you will only need to find a phillips screwdriver to get moving again.

Good idea

BTW, I bought the ebay $8 blank because I wanted a oem looking second key. It is a Kawi key, but doesn't look much like the oem one. So I might as well have just gone to the locksmith and used their blank.

Spare key

I bought my spare on Ebay as well, The locksmiths don't carry the blanks here, and want me to buy 5-10 keys so he's not stuck wih the blanks. Forget that idea.

Locksmith here didn't have any in stock. Told me was going to order some for me and would be in Thursday. I'll have him make 2 extras for me.
Thanks All...
