I had a '99 and would still have it if I wasn't vertically challenged. When i bought it I thought it was my forever bike, went over the whole bike and changed everything possible, belts, fluids etc. Then reality struck, i wasn't comfortable stopping on anything but a totally flat surface because of short leg syndrome.
Power was smooth, shifted like a knife thru butter, comfortable as all get out, handled like a bike should. Damn I miss that bike....sniffff :-(...........Mike

I haven't owned one but I didmake the mistake of taking a test ride of an F6B, I wish I had never done that ,I've grieved over it ever since. I would buy one immediately if I could afford it or the Victory CX that the member on here has for sale but I have ridden the wing , try one out at a dealership ,I don't think you will be disappointed and the 1800 is much more friendly to us short guys than the 1500. I'm only 5'6" and was totally at ease with it. The riding position is different but I think my short legs help me in that aspect. I don't run Highway pegs on my 1500 and tend to have an upright riding position with mean steak bars on mine . I like my hands to be about chest high, I guess it comes from starting on dirt bikes. But that might give you an idea of what to expect and from my perspective you may like a totally different riding posture so take your preferences into consideration.

I'm not a Newb either with thirty years on two so I'm just not off the turnip truck either. Happy hunting

Goldwing is on my short list for next bike, but that's a couple of years away.

People who have them seem to love them and I'm sure the F6B is no different.

I liked the old Valkarie Interstate, but the new Valkarie is sure different looking!

My buddy in South Florida is selling his 2013 HONDA GOLD WING F6B We go group riding pretty often and his bike is always turning heads. Bike is really nice. Super comfortable and powerful. This is one I have on my list for future upgrade considerations

Unless Honda has changed it recently, there's no cruise control or ABS available, if I remember right. No cruise on a touring bike??

Don't know about the US market, but it certainly has ABS and Cruise according to Honda Canada. https://motorcycle.honda.ca/model/touring/gold_wing_F6B
I do recall that on the Valquero we had ABS available for a year or so before it was offered in the US though maybe the same deal here.

Honda is famous for it. The ST1300 doesn't have cruise control either. I think they don't want to cut into GW sales. Even with the GW, the base models don't come with ABS. I think the ABS trim level is like 27-28K. All of BMW's bike have come with ABS since 2007. It should be standard on any bike over 500ccs and no cruise control on a touring bike? Their thinking, whatever it is, is flawed.

Outside the US, yes. Just like with Kawasaki, the 1700 Nomad and Vaquero had ABS from the beginning outside the US. For some reason, they think americans don't want it or may be non-US territories require it. Not in the US with the F6B.

Kind of funny how markets work, I would imagine that there is not much difference in cost to build bikes with these features for every market as it is to create specific models with out them for certain parts of the world.

Thats why BMW went to ABS on all models as well as 50 state bikes in the US instead of having a special California model

I believe Honda made cruise standard on the F6B in the last couple of years. Earlier models didn't have cruise but it was easy to add factory cruise straight from the 'Wing.

All Gold Wings have cruise control. ABS in an option.

When the F6B first came out, it did not have cruise or ABS, that's why I qualified my response with "this may have changed...".

It does appear cruise is standard now on the F6B.
