What do you do with the battery cover
So after wiring in the gloves and foot warmer pads I find it very difficult to put the battery cover back on. Even had to put new connectors on after the first attempt. Cold Garage is not good for wiring but, What do you do, Put it in storage? Or keep it in place for ??? Is there A good reason to put it back on. YUP, I get the protection part and I get the you don't need it part. But What do You do??

I just threw mine away and put the tools in the pouch of the saddlebag.

I plugged mine into the aux power cables that are right next to the battery. Added bonus they are tied to the key.

Ideally you would add a separate power distribution block. For example here is a 4 terminal.

I set mine on the shelf for now. Plus I found out it was easier to mount the seat back on the bike without it. Also, since the seat bumps the cover, if you leave it off, the seat drops down a smidgen . I like that too.

Never thought about leaving it off. Great idea. The seat sure is hard to re install. Only battery add on i have made is the tender, but does make it harder
