As you back up, put your foot on that wire looking thing on the left side and it will ride up on the center stand. Then when you get on and put it in gear you can ride off.

I assume that piece of black metal thats almost out of sight,is the centre stand. The piece that is for treading on,must rotate, and the bolts in the end make contact with the ground, assisting with the lift.I wonder if it affects the ground clearance for cornering. The old British bikes had a similar, but a lot simpler set up.Just a long curved lug on the side of the stand. You stood beside the bike, and trod on it as you pulled the bike backwards. http://www.classic-british-motorcycl...0utXoIJ0-R.jpg

No you would not use the kick stand unless you want. Adjust the bottom threads so when you back up it will ride right up on the stand. That way when you do back up and step on that wire looking part on the side and the bike will ride right up on it.

I actually saw one of these on a Harley yesterday. It was on a bike a guy was riding in a group I went on. I asked the guy about it and he said he was the second owner of the bike and it came with it. It did say Harley on it. I wouldn't mind having one either.

I've got a buddy just down the road with one on his HD, I'd like to have one myself just for oil checking if nothing else .
