Idle Speed - Ivan-ised.
Just installed my Ivan's reprogrammed ECU. My idle speed is now about 1,300 RPM even after the bike is well warmed up. Stock was about 800. It seems high. How can I adjust it back down to a more reasonable level?
Other than this the upgrade is simply astonishing. I thought some people were over-hyping this upgrade and now I must concede that I was wrong. It truly is quite extraordinary.

I've got the same bike as you and mine idles at 800-900. It wanders a lot when warming up, but that is expected behavior from what I understand. I'd give Ivan a call...
I agree, the upgrade absolutely transforms the bike. Totally worth the $.

Look in the owners manual and get into the menu, that is were you adjust the idle.

Mine was a little higher when I got it back too. Adjusted it a bit and then it was too low, so I'd go in steps and be prepared to bump it back up. I also had, and still do, and wandering idle. Only seems to do it in the morning, and it goes away after it's warmed up. Maybe it's just not a morning ECU.

Agree with Peg the Vulcan's do have a mind of their own but when Ivanized it did cure up a google of problems I had with mine.
They are an amazing bike now that allot of the problems have been worked out. Heavy big bore machines that are a pleasure to ride. I was using a higher idle speed before I had it Ivanized and now have turned it down to the lowest RPM available as is not needed anymore at the higher idle. It has become my favorite bike I have owned in my life now that is why I am rebuilding mine just was so good and believe in a way it saved my life. It will be even better once back together than it ever was I am pretty sure of that.

Not knowing 5th from 6th seems to be. First bike I've had that actually has a gear indicator so wasn't sure if it was a common thing or I have a sensor going out.

That gear indicator confusion occasionally happens on my Concours 14 too. Usually corrects itself pretty quickly though.

Let me throw a stupid Question out there. Did you unplug the O2 sensor? Can not trouble shoot anything with out all the facts. I have the 2016 and The Idle stayed the same almost. I fully expected to have to bump it up but never touched it.

Yes. o2 Sensor unplugged.
I'll ride it for awhile as the weather warms up and see how it does. If it remains too high I'll lower it via the procedure in the manual. Not too worried about it. Just figured I would ask to see if anyone else had the same thing going on.

But the idle was just fine before the Ivan ecu change so very doubtful there is an intake leak.

Just installed my Ivanized ECU and after about 4 minutes it settled nicely at 950. Looking forward to a ride tomorrow am.
