Irate Need Help finding part

Needing part # for that pesky clutch pushrod seal. No one at Kawa dealer can find it! Not showing up on an pics. Had this problem once before. On bluebike, rubber seal popped out and was leaking oil badly, glued it back in with red silicon permatex, anyway, leaking oil from under kickstand once again, so need the seal and permatex once again.

Take the seal to a bearing supply company, they also will sell seals and they can match it and you'll be getting a better seal.

is it a matter of them not being able to get the part number or are they all out? Took me 3 days to get one in Canada last year.

Oh, they can get the part#, and usually a older bike like ours, as long as it would fit a good many other bikes, they'd maybe keep 1 or 2 in stock, since its a small and cheap item. BUT, they usually wait till the whole stock sold out before they'd reorder. Things like exhaust gaskets, side cover gaskets, some odds and ends like plugs, plug wires, oil filters, air cleaners, wax and polish, maybe a few chains, they'd stock. Everything else had to come from the US Warehouses, or across the big pond. After 2025, they don't have to produce any new parts for my 2001 Nomad....so, we'll have to do the aftermarket, or use our horde of parts.
Since MaKawa prices are so high, and they so a big redesign every so many years, its best for the owners to pick up the items they'll need to keep riding these bikes.
Then, they might do just NOS parts that will sell, which probably won't be much.

But everyone that has these older bikes needs backups, like switches, gaskets, radiators, angle drives, etc., especially if your gonna keep the bike.

Thats the reason why Harley has so many parts for all their bikes, they're so popular, people keep riding them. As long as they can make money on the parts, they'll keep making them.
But the Japanese work from a diff. mfg. strategy....
