battery tender lead wire spot

2005 800, I'm searching for a spot on the right site below the seat for my battery tender (+/-) lead hookup, I use to have it inside the right-side cover but the pain of removing that cover and putting it back on is not worth it anymore and not convenient, so looking for a new spot. What about inside the keyed tool box on the left side? I would need to remove the tool box and drill a large hole thru the top of it. that tool box keyed door is so much easier to get open.

Just tuck it under the seat when not in use. There is plenty of room to do that without even taking the seat off. I've been doing that for years. I ride in all weather, including rain...lots and lots of rain, and have never had a problem doing it that way.

I zip tied mine to the frame by the seat. Always ready and not in the way.
That is where it is on my Victory Kingpin that I have now

Yes, leave yourself just a little slack, to slide the plug out and have several inches to hook up. On the rear side of the Right side panel, toward the rear wheel, on the outside, by the rear crash bar, I have a round small stick-on pen holder, that I used to hold the plug, then stuff the excess wire up behind the sside panel and frame member....
Later, today, I will go out into the shop and get some pics of my charger setup that I have mounted to my bike.... inside my saddle bag....
I have the 1500 Nomad up on the lift, I have a bunch of stuff I'm redoing on her thats gonna take me a month or so....Gonna do the same charger setup on the Vaquero next year cause it works so well....
Weathers great, roads alot less crowded....getting in some saddle time when having to go into town....

The links you provided don't go to a valid page. Something is wrong.

I'm planning on making a bracket that will hold 2 weatherproof SAE plugs, one for heated gear and one for the smart tender and heated gear. I have heated jacket and pant liners, heated gloves and heating shoe insoles. These are the plugs I'm going to use...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0031BOTFC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've had the plugs for a while, just haven't gotten around to making the bracket since I haven't been able to ride for over a year and a half. I'm going to attach the bracket where the Kawi communication set bracket would be installed.
