Final Drive Oil Leak?

Hey Guys. I am replacing my rear tire and took the rear wheel off. The rim was very dirty with what could have been dried oil flung around on it. I've included a picture of the rear wheel which isn't mine but was exactly like it. Would this be a seal leak? Thanks.
Glen

My suggestion would be to take it to Two Wheel Motorsport near you in Guelph.
When the final drive on my 05 Nomad was leaking I took the final drive to them and they replaced the pinion seal. They should be able to tell you exactly what is leaking on the final drive.

Hi redjay. Thanks for responding. I was considering removing the final drive and taking it to a shop. I cleaned out the backside where the leak possibly is last night and there was a small drop of oil where I had cleaned this morning. Looks like the same seal that ringadingh had go on his. I'm hesitant to dive in as far as he did though to replace it. Thanks again.

ringadingh has not been on the forum for over a year. I don't know if he sold his Nomad or if he is not well or worse.
I sent him a PM a while ago but he did not respond.

Why would that matter on a 2003 Nomad ? Just curious.

To make sure oil leak is coming from rear end and not from oil filter vibrating loose or from oil drain plug.
