Castrol 4T 10w40 oil?

Has anyone used Castrol 4T 10w40 motorcycle specific oil? I can't find a used oil analysis on line for it. Just wondering if it is a good oil and will stay in grade. It is $2.62 a liter at wal-mart.

Castrol 4T 10w40 oil?

no help here either as i only use mobil 1 synthetic.my guess is
that any motorcycle specific oil will work just fine assuming
normal change intervals.

Castrol 4T 10w40 oil?

Have used motorcycle specific on both my Nomad and my Sabre. Changed over to Mobil 1 15W50 syn. auto oil, NOT energy conserving! Did this after 6000 miles (2 oil changes) and liked the difference. Quieter, better shifts, oil comes out cleaner after more miles.

I did exactly the same thing with the Honda, except after about 9000 miles. The difference was even more dramatic. The shifting became quite a lot better and quieter. And in both cases before the switch I was using the dealers recommended oil.

I would say that as long as the oil is SAE approved and isn't energy conserving, then you're good to go. Whether it's dino or synth, is up to you.

This is what I used at my last (and first) oil change since buying mine. Have about 1300 miles on this so far.

The bike runs great - shifts smoother than it has before, especially after warm-up. Wish I could tell you what oil was in it before, but I'm not privy to that info - again, this is my first oil change on this bike.

I used Castrol 10-40 in my last bike, a Vstar 1300 Tourer, and had no issues over 7,000 miles on it.

Castrol 4T 10w40 oil?

I recently changed myself to Mobil-1 Turbo Diesel oil(Full Syn) 5W-40, and its shifted smoother than stock kawa oil or Shell Rotella, I love it. Plus can go alot more miles between changes. Pure One oil filter this time also. Plus Mobil-1 syn 75W-90 in the rear.
