Saddlebag handle removal help

Has anyone removed/replaced a Nomad saddlebag handle? I found no info in the manual and it almost appears that the lid "liner" needs to be removed to make removing the pivot pin and springs easier. Besides the hinges and the four screws in the middle of the liner, there seems to be nothing else holding the liner to the cover. There apears to be signs of adhesive as seen through the handle opening on th inside. Thanks for any help!

Saddlebag handle removal help

Just did it. (WIth help from this group)

The liner is glued to the bag. Apparently, those 4 screws held the liner while the glue set.

You remove the 5 screws up near the handle, then pry that covering off (There are 4 tabs).

There's not a lot of room. If you have big hands, it's a thrill. If you are taking both bags apart, take a picture of dismantling.

Good luck.

Thanks!

Looking at the pivot pin, it appears that it would be easiest removed toward the forward side which looks like the more difficult due to the curvature of the lid. Can it be removed either way? I may be thinking too much into the project. Just trying to prevent an expensive headache

Just finished! Fairly simple. Learned a couple things if I ever have to do it again. Thanks bobhamlin!
