It ought to. I've worked on a friends 1600 classic and the front end appears to be exactly the same.

1600 light bar

Check out this page from one of the vendors:

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/list.c....Fire_and_Stee l

Item #6 shows Part # KAK-32001-011 for the 1600 Nomad and

Item #10 shows Part # KAK-32001-008 for the 1600 Classic.

No telling what the difference is except for the fact that there are two different part numbers. If you are going to spend money, you might want to research a little further.

1600 light bar

The only difference between the light bars is where the turn signals mount onto the bar. The only way a classic light bar will fit on a Nomad (1600 both models) is to remove the fork mounted lowers, or (as a friend of mine has done) make new brackets for the lowers that move them closer to the forks. That's the reason, on the Nomad light bar, for the turn signals to be mounted on the end instead of hanging down. Even with my light bar being spaced 2 inches out (to make room for the fairing), the Classic light bar would have the turn signals hitting the fork mounted lowers.

Im guessing that finky would have the best response. I see both a 1600 classic and nomad in his signature picture.

1600 light bar

I went to the Kawa dealer and was told that the classic light bar would not fit on the Nomad.

You only have to deal with de brakehose guide (at the collector under the lower tripleplate)
I remove it and the it fits perfectly.

1600 light bar

Here's a photo of a 1600 Classic light bar on a 1600 Nomad (mine). I really like the look of the turns hanging down instead of being on the sides. But I did have to remove the lowers that was mounted on the forks for it to fit, even though the bar is mounted on a spacer that moves it 2 inches forward to give clearance for the spots with the fairing. It was OK , but with the lowers gone, a LOT of wind would come up from under the fairing making your head bounce around like a ping pong ball. I replaced the Classic bar with the Nomad bar where I could re-install the lowers. I had the Nomad bar on, bought and tried the Classic bar, and went back to the Nomad bar. IMHO, might not look as good as the Classic bar, but a lot more comfortable. I do have a friend that made and chromed some new brackets for the lowers, moving them down a bit, and closer to the forks, and they fit and work great.
