Bikes from your past

First started off with a Suzuki 440 and then moved up to a 87 Honda SuperMagna. Mine was similar to pic only in pearl white.

Sold the Magna when I left to go overseas; upon coming home I bought the VFR800 (LOVE the V4!)

My riding styles have changed a bit and while I can only have one toy at a time, I chose something that I can enjoy as much as the view it gives me.

Bikes from your past

I am a little late here but here goes.
Don't have pics of the old ones. Didn't care about cameras in those days. Just a tank of gas.

79 Yamaha 400- kickstart only, no starter. A buddy gave me that bike when he was ready to upgrade.

Next was the one I miss the most.
84 Honda Shadow 700. Ever had one of those bikes that was just designed for your body shape? It just fit me so well. Was the most comfortable bike I ever rode.
then went without a bike for about 8 years (DUI is expensive)
Next came my triumphant return to motorcycles and I went a little overboard
2001 Yamaha VMax. Holy sh*t that was fast.

Now I have Lucy and it has been a great journey getting here.

As I stated in my list, I had a V-65 Magna. I still love the Honda V-Four engine. I wish that they would build a retro looking bike with that V engine like Yamaha does with the Venture.

I'm late to the party as well, but here are my bikes. The 650 Yamaha is just a stolen photo off the net. The others are mine, ......a 83' {I think}1000 SE Yamaha Verago, 98' Yamaha Venture, and then the present ride ....the 06' Nomad

I bought this 1979 Honda CB650 in '05 to learn to ride.
Rode it for 3 years before I got tired of cleaning carbs. :)
It took me and my wife on a great ride through the Ozarks too.

Bikes from your past

I started out on a homemade mini bike with a 3.5 hp Briggs and Stratton engine on it. First "real" bike was an early '70s model Honda XL 100.(I still have the scar from the exhaust pipe).High school found me on a 1975 Honda 350/four, since then Honda Goldwing,Kawasaki KZ 650, Honda V65 Sabre(wish I still had this one), Suzuki C50 Boulevard and now my Nomad.

I had a '77 KZ 650 the custom model. Velocity stacks, Denco headers, jetted the carbs, cut the directional down and brought them in tight to the frame, mirrors that went inside the handlebars that flipped up or down, short front fender, BMW handlebars, chaged the clutch and brake levers to one with shorter throw.

I got in a lot of trouble with that bike.

Me in the mid '70's on my first bike. A Honda XR-75.

Not mine, but i had a Honda C90T like this one.

I hen bought a Late '70's Kawasaki KZ1000 LTD. Man, that bike was fast. (no pic)

Then I quit riding for about 25 years or so until I got a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C50T. Cactus Jack should recognize some of the parts on this bike since they were his prior to him getting his Nomad. :)

I then got this 2004 Honda VLX 600 for my Wife to learn how to ride. Didn't end well, and she is now on my back seat.

Last August I got my 2010 Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide Ultra Limited so Wifey would be more comfortable on the back.

Selling the Harley for the 2008 Nomad I paid for yesterday :)
