What do you think?

That 08 sounds like a much better deal, and I think your right in figuring around $7000- $7500. for it. I still shake my head about that guy with the 2000.

Im guessing he doesn't want to spend a lot if he's looking at a 99. Depending on the mileage that bike most likely still has a lot of riding left in it. Its also missing the windshield and brackets, maybe its been dropped and had a bit of damage done. If he can get it for $2500 or so, he could always get his money back out of it, or at least most of it. That bike probably won't drop in price anymore even if you keep it another ten years.

A fellow Nomad owner in my town sold his '99 this past summer for $4500.00. I told him he would never get it, but he did.

As far as price goes, I have found there is always someone willing to pay what you are asking if you wait long enough.
Even better if you ask more than you expect to get. This lets the buyer think they talked you down.

Back in October, I sold my '99 Nad G/G for $4500 with 42K miles on her. New windshield, V&H baggers, Thunder Air Kit, PH Customs Saddlebag, tank bib and front engine guard chaps, Air horn, and extra solo seat. In the process of buying an '08 with twice the bing for $8K...just my dos centavos...

The POG is a big deal with the '99, and not something to be overlooked. I have a red over red '99 and love it, however, if you want to do some modifications, I would recommend a newer model. I have been looking everywhere for replacement rear turn signal lenses but I don't want amber lenses, I want to replace them with red lenses and am having a whale of a time.
Take your time and look at the other bikes listed, I personally would lean toward the 1600, but am in no rush to replace "Scarlet".

Wonder why the difference between NADA and Kelley Blue Book. $4130 and $3100 is just over a thousand dollars difference. Bet dealers buy someone's by NADA and sell by Kelley.

You could buy clear and paint the inside with transparent red. That is if you can find clear lenses. ;)

Having a '99 and an '03. I would look for a low mileage 1500 FI. The carb and oil gear are not good compared to FI. I do love the color schemes on the '99s. The oil gear can get expensive and leave you holding the bag if it fails.
