Yes, cap off the vacuum connections at the throttle body. I had tried putting bolts in the hoses instead, but about 3 months later, the hoses cracked causing an air leak.

The first one was put in not long after I got the tire.
It lasted over 8K miles and 2K miles on the second plug.
Tire finally wore out at 10K...
